I am grateful to the Golden Pin Design Award jury for presenting me with this honor. But this award is not for me alone. I am merely representing Taiwan’s visual design community as I stand on this stage. This award belongs to all of us—it is something we have achieved together.
I want to give special thanks to the teachers and pioneers who paved the way ahead of us. Because of their groundwork, we have a path to continue moving forward. I also thank my peers and fellow designers—we have supported each other, cherished our friendships, and worked together to make our mark on the world.
I am grateful to the younger generation as well. One generation after another, we pass the baton, allowing the world to see the strength of Taiwan’s design.
Lastly, I am thankful that I grew up by the seaside in Donggang, Pingtung. That environment instilled in me a fearless, forward-driving spirit shaped by the ocean. Together with the unwavering support of my parents, my siblings, and my family, I have been able to move ahead without hesitation, allowing the world to continue seeing the power and exceptional value of Taiwan’s design.
Thank you to the Golden Pin Design Award, and thank you to the senior designers and all who walk this path with us!
